Thank you for stopping by Chicken Coop Blueprints! We are going to storm the chicken coop market! Well, just kidding but maybe we will be able to help a little. There are so many products coming to the chicken coop market and what we are noticing is that the market is somewhat in its infancy. What we mean by that is that the market is truly made up of many small businesses. Furthermore, many of the people that are searching for chickens are relatively new to the idea of raising chickens. Raising chickens for eggs, meat or just as pets is becoming more popular. We don’t think there is any mystery behind it. Firstly, chickens can be great pets. Secondly, people are starting to question how their food is being processed and scrutinizing more closely the products they eat. We speculate that there is also a need for people to feel a little closer to nature as well. Consider that most working people drive their cars to work surrounded by concrete, steel, and other automobiles. When they get to work, they are surrounded by computers, office or cubicle walls. It is nice that the air temperature is controlled and there is some shelter from the elements. Certainly, we love our modern conveniences! However, we have also noticed that with every convenience comes the expectation of more and more production. As conveniences cut back on the time required to travel, wash clothes, do dishes, make coffee, prepare dinner and countless other daily tasks, we are expected to produce more.
So, what does that mean? It means that people are longing to get back to the basics and get out in the elements a little bit. Inherently, people want to see the sunrise, feel the cool brisk morning air on their skin and soak in some natural sunlight on their face. Raising chickens are just one of the ways people are getting back to nature. People are starting to raise chickens for eggs and even for meat. They are raising chickens right in their suburban backyards! Town Ordnances are even changing to accommodate the chicken coop movement. We like it! So, we are going to do what we can to help our readers raise chickens by finding and posting great resources for chicken coop plans, chicken coop blueprints and tips for building chicken coops.
